Peas in A Pod with Liron Levin - Wednesday, 28. August - 14:00 - 17:00h

About the Workshop:

Being unique is wonderful. But what happens when we put it aside for a moment and join another actor on stage? Or even two? Or more? For the audience seeing performers vibing and acting together is very assuring and pleasant, it can be romantic or touching, and of course - it can be hilarious. Really hilarious.

In this workshop we’ll discover the power and magic of this unison, being two peas in a pod with our partner, almost becoming one, in total acceptance. We will share our character, energy, tone, intentions and much more. And when we reach this level of listening and relying on each other, we’ll see how we can find our own voice in it and explore what happens if we break this pattern.

“Peas in a pod” is one more valuable tool we can add to our improviser’s toolbox. It can open up options during a whole narrative long form or just for glimpse as a side character. It can spice up our short form. It can help us maintain an interesting and non-chaotic group scene (these tend to get out of hand real fast). It can even help us create abstract and amorphic scenes. And it can do much more, when we make it our own. No worries, we are still unique, forever.

About the Teacher:

Liron is an experienced improviser, clown, performer, actress and improv teacher. She’s been doing theater work for more than 20 years, and improvising for more than 10. She combines methods of clowning, physical theater, performance art and dance, all building and supporting her improv acting and teaching.

Liron is the co-founder and co-artistic director of the duo “ImPresent”. ImPresent have been touring with their impro-clown duo format "Strings" and their group formats, teaching and performing in festivals, and are constantly creating new experiences, formats and collaborations. She’s also a part of “Woman up” - an all-female improv ensemble that touches on women related topics, and of “Drunk Classics” - a semi-improvised format.

In addition to her improv work, Liron is an actor in a performance ensemble and her on-camera experience includes short indie films.

Her background in physical theater, clowning and movement supports her stage presence and her connection to the body and physicality of her characters. Her teaching style is energetic and supportive, she loves sharing these aspects in her workshops, and they are built with a non native English speaking audience in mind.

In her spare time she loves swing dancing, so if you’re a Lindy Hopper and would like to dance - do say something.
