About the workshop/showcase:

Step into the magical world of fairy tales with a group of experienced improvisers!Inspired by the TV series Once Upon A Time, we will discover stories of trust, betrayal, love, adventure, and wishes coming true. Or not.
 
Can the Evil Queen have a change of heart, and save Prince Charming after all? And what if the Genie out of the bottle is actually not on your side?In this workshop, you will learn how to tell dark fairy tales in improvised theatre. We will work on your longform skills, like storytelling, pacing, edits, and resolving the fairytale. Because ‘happily ever after’ is not the only option.
 
This class is for you if you would like to strengthen your longform skills. As your teacher and coach, Laura will give you scenes, stories and challenges tailor-made to who you are as an improviser, and where she thinks you have the most opportunity for growth.

About the teacher:

When Laura is not traveling the world, she can be found cycling the Amsterdam canals between her jobs as a trainer, performer, entrepreneur, and cat mom. She is the co-founder of theatre school Flock Theatre (with her improvising husband Gael) and director of improv formats like Ghost of Love, The Ferocious Four and The Matrix. With her 20 years of teaching experience, Laura also teaches improvisers in improv teaching.
